Stichting Paradiso Perduto is a Dutch foundation with tax exempt status as a Public Benefit Organisation (ANBI). This privacy policy is EU GDPR compliant. It will explain in some detail how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.

What data do we collect?
Paradiso Perduto collects the following data:
- Personal identification information (name, email address, location, IP)
- Bank account numbers and billing address when you make a donation
- Information proceeding from participation in voluntary surveys
- Information proceeding from applications to volunteer or donate your expertise (in kind)
Please note: we do not see, collect, or store your credit or debit card information. We do not see, collect, or store other sensitive information such as usernames and passwords that you might be required to provide when making a donation.
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide Paradiso Perduto with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
- Register online for our newsletter
- Make a donation using the donation form
- Donate via our donation shop
- Voluntarily complete a survey
- Provide feedback in the comment sections of the blog
- Contact us via email by using the contact form or by mailing us directly
- Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies
- Anonymized statistics on your use of and visits to our website

How will we use your data?
Paradiso Perduto collects your data so that we can:

When Paradiso Perduto processes your donation, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent transactions.
How do we store your data?
Paradiso Perduto securely stores your data on the servers of our hosting provider, GreenGeeks, located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. GreenGeeks uses multiple security measures to prevent the loss, misuse and alteration of information such as Immunify360, DDoS Protection & SSL Certificate. The data on this website is protected using 256-bit Alpha Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology.
- Email attachments are stored on our servers
- Survey results are stored on our Microsoft for Nonprofit account
- Newsletter subscriptions are stored on our MailerLite account
- Donation data (either submitted through the donate form or donation shop) is stored on our servers, Mollie and eBoekhouden.nl accounts.
Retention of data
Paradiso Perduto will retain and use any information provided through our contact form as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy and to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect Paradiso Perduto’s legal rights.
Paradiso Perduto will retain your subscription information as long as your subscription is active, as necessary to provide you with the services or as otherwise set forth in this Policy. When you opt to unsubscribe from our mailing list, we will permanently delete your information from our data storage.
Paradiso Perduto will retain the data you provide through the donate form and donation shop for a period of 84 months as legally obliged by the tax administration of The Netherlands, following which your data will be permanently deleted from our data storage.
Paradiso Perduto also collects and maintains aggregated, anonymized or pseudonymized information which we may retain indefinitely to protect the safety and security of our Site, improve our Services or comply with legal obligations.
Marketing
Paradiso Perduto does NOT sell or share your data with any third parties for marketing purposes.
You have the right at any time to stop Paradiso Perduto from contacting you by unsubscribing from our mailing list(s).
What are your data protection rights?
Paradiso Perduto would like to make sure you are fully aware of all your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
